Microgreens or coriander - fill your own (Crooked Vege Ōtaki)
Cherry or heirloom tomatoes (Crooked Vege Ōtaki)
Vege highlights + suggested uses:
Fennel & Kohlrabi
These are seconds. But we don’t really like the term “seconds” - it creates a huge amount of food waste, and most farms would simply till these crops back into the ground - but there’s over 60kg of good kai here!
The Fennel has struggled with the unpredictable summer, and has had to come out early. The kohlrabi has “split” which is a result of our long dry periods followed by deluges of rain (basically the “swell” too quickly) - I’ve lost count of the number of 60mm-in-12-hours events of rain!
But they’re all good - I’d recommend roasting both fennel and kohlrabi. Make sure you take the skin off the kohlrabi!
Ka kite,
Jon
