Warren’s (the onion grower) farm
Crooked Vege’s celery is finally ready to harvest. It’s a slow, long wait for celery - these plants were started in January and are still not full sized. 3 winters in a row we’ve aimed to have it ready to harvest by June, and 3 winters in a row we’ve started our plants far too late. Perhaps next winter it’ll be a more frequent vege bag addition! Maybe sowing in December..
This week we have:
Radishes, Rhubarb (Ahoaho māra kai) or Beetroot (Crooked Vege Ōtaki)
Silverbeet or Celery (Crooked Vege Ōtaki)
Microgreens, Parsley or Shungiku (Crooked Vege Ōtaki)
Carrots (Crooked Vege Ōtaki)
Onions (From Warren!)
Cabbage (Common Property)
Potatoes (Mingiroa Farm)
Pumpkin (Crooked Vege/Live2Give)
Ka kite ano,
Jon
